They have opportunities for young people to get involved and even be part of the festival and a wider programme over the summer, take a look:

Are you aged 14 to 19 and live in Birmingham?

Do you speak a language other than English?

Would you like to meet new people and have fun?

If your answer is yes to all of these questions then you need to be part of BE Next. If you know someone who would answer yes to all these questions please share this with them.

When:

4th to 14th July and 19th to 25th August 2014

Where:

Birmingham Repertory Theatre (next to the new Library of Birmingham)

 What:

BE Next, BE Festival’s young performance company, is currently recruiting for new participants for 2014. If you are aged between 14 and 19 and live in Birmingham, then we want to work with you. We will be working with international theatre directors Manuel Bonillo (Spain) and Won Kim (France/ Korea) to create a brand new theatre piece. You will have an opportunity to learn new skills in theatre, performance and creativity, meet new people and have an amazing experience as part of BE Festival.

On 12th July you will perform at BE Festival on the main festival stage at The REP and on 25th August you will perform at Journeys Festival in Leicester (transport will be provided).

If you join us in July you will also get the opportunity to see all the exciting shows in BE Festival, as we will give you free tickets to each evening of the Festival.

The workshops are free and we can cover your travel expenses if needed. We can also work with you if you are aged 19 – 25 and not in education, employment or training.
