In a new collaboration with BUILDHOLLYWOOD and building off Fierce’s history of public art, Monnet Design will intervene on billboards across the city in October, unleashing a series of cartoon figures called Bubs – named Cheeky, Cheery, Hungry, and Oopsie – that will equally delight and disrupt the city of Birmingham.
Drawing from this edition’s more is more approach and referencing the rise of plushie culture, the Bubs are manifestations of pleasure in all its forms. More pranks, more joy, more feasts, more experimentation: more pleasure.
And, yes, we will be turning them into artist edition plushies, for sale exclusively at House of Beorma, our Festival Hub.
