Workshops at Fierce 2019

Justin Shoulder

We’re delighted to be working with DanceXchange to offer a number of workshops with artists presenting at Fierce Festival 2019. Whilst the workshops are primarily for participants of our artist development programmes Fierce FWD and Fierce Lab, we can now offer the remaining places to artists with performance and live art practices.

To register interest email contact@wearefierce.org. Participation in the workshops is free.

Justin Shoulder & Matthew Stegh

Collaborators Justin Shoulder and Matt Stegh have worked together for over a decade creating detailed alter egos through image, costume and performance. In this workshop they will focus on the development of avatars and closely examine processes of becoming, sharing strategies for creating new performative identities. Through a series of exercises and visualisations Justin and Matt will take participants through the processes of building ecologies through movement and making – and help you to create a new avatar or deepen the expression of an existing alter ego.

Friday 18 October, 10am – 1pm, DanceXchange.
