A discussion with leading Swiss artists Alexandra Bachzetsis, Marco Berrettini, Yann Marussich, and Andrea Saemann. Chaired by Lois Keidan of the Live Art Development Agency (LADA), this event forms part of a three-year initiative (2018-20) led by LADA to raise the profile of Swiss Live Art in the UK and contribute to the development of exchanges and collaborations between artists and promoters in the UK and Switzerland. The discussion will shed light on the Swiss performing arts ecology offering a rare chance to hear from these celebrated figures in the UK.

Hosted by Ikon this talk happens alongside a day of Fierce/Ikon activity including a performance by artist Nigel Rolfe and Ikon’s major survey of work by Barry Flanagan (1941-2009, studied Birmingham School of Art 1957-58), bringing together a selection of the artist’s iconic bronze sculptures (1980s – 90s) alongside earlier works made with rope, sand, cloth, stone, ceramics and light as a sculptural component, largely from the 1960s – 70s as well as a number of performance documents.
