Professional Attendance

Industry

At Fierce, we are used to welcoming an international delegation of performing arts professionals – curators, artists, producers, funders, etc. Whether you’re based in the UK and wanting to get a glimpse of some incredible international work, or based outside of the UK, looking to get a glimpse of the British scene – welcome!

Fierce is a small organisation with limited resource, so while we ask all professionals to pay for their tickets, we are committed to keeping our prices as accessible as possible. This includes offering concession pricing for freelance arts professionals.

Please let us know if you plan to come to the Festival by completing this simple Industry Delegate Form so we can invite you to industry events and also pop you onto our delegate list so you can see who else is in attendance.

Industry Ticketing

Our Industry Ticketing Form is now closed, we cannot take any more orders to be paid via invoice. You can still buy tickets for shows with availability here.

Festival Pathway

We have suggested a possible pathway through the festival that would allow you to see nearly every show, excluding MANUAL and Softly/Tenderly, which are small-capacity performances, and can be fit in around your chosen schedule. The pathway is here and is also marked out on the Industry Ticketing Form.

Industry Happy Hour

This year we are hosting ‘Happy Hour’ at our Festival Hub, Birmingham Black Box, from Thursday to Saturday. These two hours each day are free of other programming at the festival, excluding MANUAL and Softly/Tenderly. It’s one of the many ways we hope to foster a sense of community and is open to absolutely everyone attending, in whatever capacity. It will be a perfect opportunity for industry folk to catch-up, and to swap notes and numbers. Food and drinks will be available for purchase, too. Happy hour takes place at the below times:

  • Thursday 17 – 5.00pm
  • Friday 18 – 3.00pm
  • Saturday 19 – 5.00pm

How Does it Feel?

How Does it Feel? presented in partnership with performance, possession + automation is a day of micro-commissions from UK artists and international artists who are presenting other work in the festival. We invite industry professionals to come along and explore ideas of possession and automation with artists and academics.

FABRIC Studio Sessions

Join us on the morning of Friday 18 October for our closed session for programmers with FABRIC at the Patrick Studio, Birmingham Hippodrome. From 10.30am to 1.00pm, we will be seeing presentations from 4 UK-based dance artists: Lou Robbin, Hetain Patel, Claudia Palazzo, and AURA.

If you have any queries about your visit, don’t hesitate to contact us at contact@wearefierce.org.
